Another birthday present to myself :). This one we got at Soroa Orchids right down the street from Banjong in Homestead. Quite an interesting place to visit if you ever have the chance. The entrance to this place is two large iron gates adorned with orchids. The selection inside was astounding.
This one was a bit of a cheat. We picked this one out because its stem was just about to bloom. Since then it’s taken about two weeks for the flowers to emerge. There were several at the nursery already in bloom and we knew what we were in for. So I was glad when it actually decided to bloom :). The name provided is the one given, but when looking this one up on the internet the colors were not consistent with our bloom. I’m actually partial to the pink/yellow two tone of our flowers we have since that was the reason we picked it out in the first place.
