Last – A Day in Ragusa Ibla – Day 10
My run in the morning was spectacular. The weather was perfect with a slight chill in the air. The run around the island was breathtaking with views of the ocean in every step. The run was a little over 2 km which was perfect for the run. I pushed myself more than usual.
We had a quick breakfast in the apartment and then headed out to take a leisurely walk around the island. The winds were much stronger than my morning run. Many people were out enjoying the weather and views. We passed by the Fountain of Arethusa. I took several pictures of the spring and the outward views over the ocean. We then stopped at a small cafe overlooking the ocean and had a quick fried seafood platter and some drinks. Afterwards we headed to the tip of the island and back around to the apartment.
Later in the evening, Chris and I headed out for dinner. We found a small seafood place just outside of the island. It was called Ristorante Fuori Ortigia. We shared a seafood risotto plate and a seared tuna dish. It was a good tasty meal. We had it with a bottle of wine. We finished it off with a cannoli.
